Increasing your profit margin starts with the right construction equipment; but knowing how to use that equipment ultimately improves your bottom line.
In today's high technology world, operators must have a thorough understanding of machine systems in order to achieve maximum efficiency and greatest return on equipment investment. To that end, Ring Power Corporation offers CATERPILLAR® OPERATOR TRAINING PROGRAMS aimed at improving and polishing the skills of experienced equipment operators.
Caterpillar Operator Training is unique in the industry. Unlike traditional courses that fail to measure acquired knowledge, Caterpillar training elevates experienced operators to a measurable level of proficiency that actually certifies their skill attainment.
With a maximum student to instructor ratio of 5 to 1, Caterpillar learning modules combine classroom instruction with hands-on experience in an intense, highly-structured format. By carefully guiding the learning process and maintaining high performance standards, instructors ensure that all participants have an opportunity to focus on their own particular areas of interest, while developing and refining their skills at their own pace.
Participants can select learning modules from eight different Caterpillar machine families.
During a training module the instructor carefully monitors and records the progress and performance of each student. The instructor is required to follow a consistent format, and the students are required to score 100% against program standards. A record of completion is kept on each participant and a registered commemorative Cat® belt buckle and diploma are awarded to each graduating operator.
Payback on your training investment
On a job site, countless unforeseeable factors can affect the operation of a machine, which can result in more-or less-profit for you. Consider for a moment the impact any one of the following "worst-case" scenarios could have on your company's profit margin:
Catastrophic tire failure on your 8-yd3 loader
Improper undercarriage configuration on your D8 necessitates rebuild
Contract deadline missed due to delayed truck fleet cycle times
Benchmarks established by Caterpillar training ensure that graduates achieve high levels of proficiency and confidence. The payback on your investment in operator training begins when he or she returns to the job with improved skill levels that increase productivity, decrease downtime, reduce operating costs, and enhance safety-regardless of site conditions-even when the unforeseen occurs.
As you continue to look for ways to improve your company's bottom line, we continue to look for ways to sell value, reduce warranty costs, and improve our relationship with you - our customer. Caterpillar Equipment Training makes it possible for all of us to move closer to our respective business goals.
Instruction grounded in experience
Students who attend Caterpillar Operator Training at Ring Power learn from the best. Certified by Caterpillar to conduct operator training, Curt Loucks brings more than 35 years of on-the-job experience to the program along with a wealth of skill and knowledge with respect to operating technique, productivity, safety and equipment care. Mike Oster, a certified instructor since 2000, has belonged to the Caterpillar organization for more than 31 years, during which time he has worked as a service technician on machine and component rebuilds, a welder, a paving specialist and a member of the Cat product applications team.
Students can enroll in one of the regularly scheduled modules conducted at our Tampa branch, a first-class facility conducive to hands-on learning. Or, for your convenience, training can be held at your site, taking advantage of your conditions and your equipment.
We'll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
